STREEPER-OBITUARY
Robert H. Streeper, son of Stephen and Isabelle Streeper, was born at Fort Wayne, Indiana, August 24,1858, and died athis late home in Onslow, Iowa, February 26, 1934, aged 76 years, 6 months and two days.
When he was but two years of age his parents emigrated to Iowa, making the trip in a covered wagon to this locality, where Mr. Streeper has since resided.
February 20, 1883 he was married to Miss Etta Coburn who preceded him in death, December 5, 1928.
With his young wife he became a member of the Presbyterian church. He was also a member of the, local organizations of Rebecca and Odd Fellow lodges for many years.
Mr. Streeper always took a keen interest in the civic affairs of the community and over a long period of years was a member and president of the local school board.
Surviving are his seven children, Roy Streeper, Onslow; Wilfred Streeper, Rock Island, Illinois; Mrs. Amy Anderson, Anamosa; Mrs. Ada First, Wyoming; Mrs. Ava Bramer, Onslow; Mrs. Blma, Husmann, Wyoming; and Harley Streeper Onslow.
He also leaves to mourn his two brothers, S. P. Streeper, Forest City, Iowa; R.W. Streeper, Onslow; and one sister, Mrs. Belle H. Osborne, Verndale, Minnesota. Thirty-one grand-children and one great-grandshild, besides numerous relatives and a large number of friends and neighbors.
Except for the first two years of his life Mr. Streeper's entire life has been spent on a farm near Onslow, being identified with the community to all its activities.
