  Anamosa Eureka Anamosa, Jones co. Iowa March 8, 1906 Page 7 Column 2 (partial) The sad news of the death of Miss Ethel Butler at Los Angeles, California, was received here Tuesday morning. She passed away Monday. Ethel went to California a year ago last fall to make an extended visit with her aunt, Mrs. Hoffman, and to study music. She went in such good spirits, looking forward to her stay there with such bright hopes, and for a year her hopes were fully realized, but for several months her health has been on the decline, and the inherited tendency to consumption developed very rapidly and hastened her away. Ethel was a lovely young lady and many friends here will mourn her death. Her father went to Los Angeles about two weeks ago and had a few days to spend with his daughter. He started home with her body Tuesday, and if there is no delay the funeral will be at Bethel church next Sunday.
