      Former Wyoming resident Mrs. Ada Mae First, 84, died Wednesday, Jan 5th at the Anamosa Community Hospital.
      The funeral was at 10:30 a.m. in the Wyoming Methodist church, Jan 8th. Rev. Ralph Grote officiated during the services. Burial was in the Wyoming Cemetery.
      Ada, the daughter of Robert and Etta Coburn Streeper, was born Jan. 14, 1892 near Onslow. She received her education and graduated from Onslow High school.
      April 5, 1910, she married Clarence First. The couple farmed east of Wyoming and Mrs. First also taught in rural Onslow schools. In 1973, she moved to the Anamosa Care Center.
      Mrs. First was a charter member of the Midland Homemakers Club. She also was a 50 year member of Royal Neighbors and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
      Survivors include 4 daughters, Mrs. Helen Bahnsen, Mrs. Florence Luke both of Wyoming. Mrs. Mabel Anderson, Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Herbert (Vivian) Jackson, Kellerton, IA; 2 sons, Millard and Donald both of Wyoming; 24 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mrs. Amy Anderson, Martelle, Mrs. Fred (Ava) Bramer, Onslow, and Mrs. Elma Husmann, Wyoming.
      She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers and 1 granddaughter.
