  Wilfred was born near Onslow, the son of Robert and Etta Coburn Streeper. He married Maymie Lage 17 February 1915, in Wyoming, Iowa. His family moved to Rock Island, Illinois in 1934. Later in life, he and his wife moved to San Diego, California, where they lived with their daughter, Sibyl. Wilfred died in San Diego, and funeral services were held at the Hayden Funeral home in Wyoming, Iowa, on October 19, 1965, with burial in Wyoming Cemetery.
